Information
The U.S. Turf Company pursues an proactive environmental policy, which is aimed at operating as environmentally responsible as possible.

-Our fiber manufacture operates according to ISO-quality guidelines. We work extremely hard to guarantee these standards are in line with the quality requirements that the market demands. With our determined technology to provide the safest, most durable products we have virtually eliminated all ENVIRONMENTALLY AND ECOLOGICAL RISKS associated with synthetic turf.

The U.S Turf Company’s goal when founded was to develop the most environmentally-friendly, ecologically-safe synthetic turf products and systems and to promote the proper application of material science and civil engineering to synthetic turf design and construction.

Our principal and uniquely suited goal is to achieve an infilled synthetic turf concept without the use of crumb rubber (ground up tires) and obtain stability through maximizing the synthetic grass weight and blade density to minimize the use of any infill products.

The number one problem with ground up rubber tires is that it contains carcinogenic and toxic chemicals and has been documented to provide chemical exposure to a variety of volatile organic compounds, hydrocarbons, and other contaminants. The simple answer is to eliminate the use of crumb rubber infill in synthetic turf to eliminate any health risk. By eliminating crumb rubber as an infill product, greater densities, shorter pile heights, and a softer more pliable synthetic surface must be employed to provide a superior synthetic athletic surface.
Environmental Impact Policy

-The State Environmental Policy Act requires that an environmental Impact Statement (EIS) be conducted and reviewed prior to the installation of synthetic athletic fields as they are not all manufactured with the same residual effects for our environment.

-The City of New York and the Los Angeles Unified School District have already issued a moratorium on the use of crumb rubber as an infill product in their synthetic fields. Their choice for a replacement…The Gravity Max Infill product used by the U.S. Turf Company. If this is the beginning of this movement, exactly how far will it go. There have already been questions brought to legislators regarding the removal of all crumb rubber already in use in existing 87 fields within the city of New York.
