Welcome to the LISPORT

The LISPORT or studded roll test method (developed by Labosport) provides a visual indication of how a synthetic grass system will age over time as a result of typical usage by players on the field. For this test, two heavy rolls equipped with numerous studs, similar to those on the shoes of athletes, are rolled back and forth over the synthetic surface.

To avoid reoccurring impact on exactly the same places, the two rolls move with different speeds and, at the same time, the synthetic grass is moved slowly from left to right.

Research conducted by the LISPORT test method in general, one cycle equates to one hour use with an average of 40 hours use per week x 52 weeks per year gives a total of 2,080 hours use per year. The wear cycles were truncated at predetermined intervals of 2200, 4200, 8200, 16200 and 20200 cycles to evaluate the sample.

TenCate tests all synthetic specimens for a minimum duration of 8,000 cycles.
